We will test you with your wealth and with yourselves, and you will hear from those who have been given the book before you and from those who set up partners much annoyance. If you strive and be aware, then these are affairs of great resolve.

God took the covenant of those who were given the book: "You will proclaim to the people and not conceal it." However, they threw it behind their backs and purchased with it a cheap price. Miserable indeed is what they have purchased.

Do not count that those who are happy with what they have been given, and they love to be praised for what they did not do; do not think they are saved from the punishment. For them is a painful retribution.

To God is the sovereignty of heavens and earth, and God is capable of all things.

In the creation of heavens and earth, and the difference between night and day, are signs for those with intelligence.
