Hani (fail-i meçhul bir cinayet işlendiği) bir zaman da Musa, kavmine "Allah size bir inek kurban etmenizi emrediyor!" demişti de şöyle çıkışmışlardı: "Sen bizimle dalga mı geçiyorsun?" (Musa), "Cahillerden olmaktan Allah'a sığınırım" demişti.

Moses said to his people, "GOD commands you to sacrifice a heifer." They said, "Are you mocking us?" He said, "GOD forbid, that I should behave like the ignorant ones."

And Moses said to his people: "God orders you to slaughter a heifer." They said: "Do you mock us?" He said: "I seek refuge with God that I not be of the ignorant ones."

Ve Musa, toplumuna, şöyle demişti: "Aslında, Allah, bir İnek kesmenizi buyruk veriyor!" Dediler ki: "Bizimle alay mı ediyorsun?" Dedi ki: "Bilisizler arasında olmaktan Allah'a sığınırım!"[22]
