Dediler ki: "Sayılı birkaç gün dışında ateş bize asla dokunmayacaktır." De ki: "Allah'tan bir ahit mi aldınız! Allah, ahdine asla ters düşmez. Yoksa siz Allah'a isnat ederek, bilmediğiniz şeyleri mi söylüyorsunuz?"

Onlar, "Sayılı bir kaç gün dışında kesinlikle bizi ateş yakmayacak" derler. Sor onlara: "Allah'tan kesin bir söz mü aldınız -ki eğer öyleyse, Allah sözünden kesinlikle caymaz-; yoksa bilmediğiniz bir konuda Allah'a iftira mı atıyorsunuz?"

Some have said, "Hell will not touch us, except for a limited number of days." Say, "Have you taken such a pledge from GOD - GOD never breaks His pledge - or, are you saying about GOD what you do not know?"

And they said: "The Fire will not touch us except for a few number of days." Say: "Have you taken a pledge with God? If so, then God will not break His pledge. Or do you say about God what you do not know?"
