Today, the good things have been made lawful to you, and the food of those who have been given the Book is lawful for you, and your food is lawful for them; and the independent females from those who are believers, and the independent females from those who have been given the Book before you, if you have given them their dowries, to be independent, not for illicit sex or taking lovers. And whoever rejects belief, then his work has fallen, and in the Hereafter he is of the losers.

Whoever rejects acknowledgement, then his work has fallen, and in the Hereafter he is of the losers.

Bugün, temiz olan şeyler size helal yapılmıştır. Kitap verilenlerin yemeği size helaldir; sizin yemeğiniz de onlara helaldir. İnananlar arasındaki sağtöreli kadınlarla ve sizden önce kitap verilenler arasından sağtöreli kadınlarla evlenmeniz; ödencelerini vermek, zina etmemek ve gizlice dost edinmemek koşuluyla helaldir. Kim inançlı olmayı kabul etmezse, yaptığı her şey boşa gidecek; sonsuz yaşamda da yitime uğramış olacaktır.

Mehirlerini verir, namuslu olur, gizli dost tutmazsanız, iffetli (namuslu) mümin kadınlar ile kendilerine Kitap verilmiş olanların iffetlileri size helaldir[1]. Kim imanını göz ardı ederse yaptıkları boşa gider, Ahiret'te kaybedenlere karışır.

Bugün size iyi ve temiz şeyler helal kılındı. Kitap halkının yiyeceği size helaldir. Sizin de yiyecekleriniz onlara helaldir. Mehirlerini ödemeniz, zina etmeyip namuslu davranmanız ve gizli dost tutmamanız koşuluyla, iman edenlerden korunmuş kadınlarla ve sizden önce kendilerine kitap verilenlerden korunmuş kadınlarla evlenmeniz size helaldir. Kim gerçeği onaylamayı reddederse tüm yaptıkları boşa çıkmıştır ve o, ahirette de kaybedenlerdendir.[1]
