İşte onlar arasından her deliğe girecek on iki kişiyi gönderdiğimiz zaman, Allah İsrailoğulları'ndan da kesin taahhüd almış ve buyurmuştu ki: Kuşkusuz Ben sizinleyin: Eğer salat'ı doğru-dürüst eda eder, arınmak için karşılıksız yardımda bulunur, düşmanlarını engelleyerek elçilerimi desteklerseniz; Allah'a da (güveninizi isbat etmek için) gönüllü olarak borç verirseniz, kesinlikle kötülüklerinizi örterim ve sizi zemininden ırmaklar çağlayan cennetlere koyarım. İçinizden her kim de bundan sonra inkar ederse, kesinlikle o doğru yoldan sapmış olur.

GOD had taken a covenant from the Children of Israel, and we raised among them twelve patriarchs. And GOD said, "I am with you, so long as you observe the Contact Prayers (Salat), give the obligatory charity (Zakat), and believe in My messengers and respect them, and continue to lend GOD a loan of righteousness. I will then remit your sins, and admit you into gardens with flowing streams. Anyone who disbelieves after this, has indeed strayed off the right path." Consequences of Violating God's Covenant,

God has taken the covenant of the Children of Israel and raised from them twelve representatives, and God said: "I am with you if you hold the contact prayer, and contribute towards purification, and believe in My messengers, and support them, and lend God a loan of righteousness; then I will cancel your sins and admit you into estates with rivers flowing beneath them." Whoever rejects after this from you, then he has strayed from the path.

Zaten gerçek şu ki, Allah, İsrailoğullarından kesin söz almıştı. Onların arasından, on iki lider göndermiştik. Ve Allah, şöyle demişti: "Kuşkusuz, sizinle birlikteyim. Namazı dosdoğru kılar, zekatı verir, elçilerime inanır, Onları destekler ve Allah'a güzel bir borç verirseniz; kötülüklerinizi kesinlikle siler ve altlarından ırmaklar akan cennetlere sizi yerleştiririm. Bundan sonra, aranızdan kim nankörlük ederse, gerçeğin yolundan artık sapmıştır!"[97]
