Allah'tan çekinerek kendini korumuş olanlara söz verilen bahçe (cennet), içinden ırmaklar akan, yiyecekleri ve gölgeleri bitmez tükenmez bir bahçe gibidir. Allah'tan çekinenler, sonunda oraya varırlar. Ayetleri görmezlikten gelenlerin (kafirlerin) yolu da ateşte biter.

Erdemlilere söz verilen bahçenin örneği şudur: Altından ırmaklar akar, yemişi de süreklidir gölgesi de. Bu, erdemlilerin sonudur. Kafirlerin sonu ise ateştir.
