Sadakalar/zekat malları Allah'tan bir farz olarak sadece şunlar içindir: Fakirler, düşkünler, sadakalarla ilgilenmeye memur edilenler, kalpleri yakınlaştırılıp ısındırılacak olanlar, özgürlüğünü yitirmiş olanlar, borçlular, Allah yolundakiler, yolda kalmış kişi. Allah Alim'dir, Hakim'dir.

Zekatlar yalnızca yoksullara ve düşkünlere, bu işi yapan görevlilere ve kalpleri kazanılacak kimselere, özgürlükleri elinden alınanlar ve borç yükü altında ezilenler için, Allah yolunda gösterilen her türlü faaliyet ve yolda kalmışlar için verilir: bu Allah'ın koyduğu bir kuraldır. Ve Allah her şeyi bilir, her hükmünde tam isabet sahibidir.

Charities shall go to the poor, the needy, the workers who collect them, the new converts, to free the slaves, to those burdened by sudden expenses, in the cause of GOD, and to the traveling alien. Such is GOD's commandment. GOD is Omniscient, Most Wise.

Indeed, the charities are for the poor, and the needy, and those who work to collect them, and those whose hearts have been united, and to free the slaves, and those in debt, and in the cause of God, and the wayfarer. A duty from God, and God is Knowledgeable, Wise.
