Mealler

They swear by GOD that they never said it, although they have uttered the word of disbelief; they have disbelieved after becoming submitters. In fact, they gave up what they never had. They have rebelled even though GOD and His messenger have showered them with His grace and provisions. If they repent, it would be best for them. But if they turn away, GOD will commit them to painful retribution in this life and in the Hereafter. They will find no one on earth to be their lord and master.

They swear by God that they did not say it, while they had said the word of rejection, and they rejected after they had submitted, and they were obsessed with what they could not possess; and they could not find any fault except that God and His messenger had enriched them from His bounty. If they repent it is better for them, and if they turn away, then God will punish them severely in this world and the next. They will not have on the earth any ally or supporter.

Söylemediklerine ilişkin, Allah'ın üzerine yemin ediyorlar. Oysa gerçek şu ki, inkar sözünü söylediler. Teslim olduktan sonra nankörlük ettiler ve başaramadıkları bir şeye kalkıştılar. Öç almak istedikleri, Allah'ın ve O'nun elçisinin, O'nun lütfundan, onları varlıklı yapmasından başka bir şey değildi. Pişmanlık gösterirlerse, kendileri için iyi olur. Yüz çevirirlerse, Allah, dünyada ve sonsuz yaşamda, acı bir cezayla onları cezalandıracaktır. Onlar için, yeryüzünde ne bir dost ne de bir yardımcı yoktur.

Söylemediklerine dair Allah'a yemin ediyorlar ama kendilerini kafir yapan o sözü[1] gerçekten söylediler ve Müslüman(Allah'a teslim) olmalarından sonra kafir oldular. Üstelik başaramayacakları bir işe giriştiler. O cezalandırma girişiminin sebebi, Allah'ın ve Elçisinin onları Allah'ın ikramıyla cömertçe zenginleştirmesinden başka birşey değildir. Dönerlerse (tevbe ederlerse) kendileri için iyi olur. Ama eğer yüz çevirmeye devam ederlerse Allah onları hem dünyada hem de Ahirette acıklı bir azaba uğratacaktır. Yeryüzünde onlar için artık ne bir dost ne de yardımcı bulunur.
