Mealler

It is not advisable for the dwellers of the city and those around them of the Nomads that they should lag behind after the messenger of God, nor should they yearn for themselves above him. That is because any thirst that will come to them, or fatigue, or hunger in the cause of God, or any step that they take which will annoy the rejecters, or any gain they have over any enemy; it will be recorded as a good deed for them. God does not waste the reward of the good doers.

Allah'ın elçisinden geride kalmaları ve kendi canlarını Onun canından üstün tutmaları, kent halkına ve çevresindeki Araplara yakışmaz. Bu böyledir. Çünkü Allah'ın yolunda, bir susuzluk, bir yorgunluk, zorlu bir açlık, nankörlük edenleri öfkelendiren bir adım ve düşmana karşı bir başarı kazanmış olmaları yoktur ki, erdemli bir edim olarak yazılmamış olsun. Kuşkusuz, Allah, güzel davrananları ödülsüz bırakmaz.

Medine halkının ve çevrelerindeki çöl Araplarının Allah'ın elçisine kayıtsız kalmaya hakları yoktur. Kendilerini ona tercih de edemezler. Bunların Allah yolunda bir susuzluk, bir yorgunluk ve bir açlık çekmeleri, kafirleri öfkelendirecek bir adım atmaları ve düşmandan bir kötülük görmeleri mutlaka lehlerine iyi bir iş olarak yazılacaktır. Çünkü Allah, güzel davrananların ödülünü eksiltmez.

Ne şehir halkı ne de onların çevresindeki Araplar ALLAH'ın elçisinden geri kalmamalı ve kendilerini ona tercih etmemelidir. Zira ALLAH yolunda uğrayacakları her bir susuzluk, bir yorgunluk ve bir açlık, kafirleri öfkelendirecek her bir adım ve düşmana karşı kazandıkları her bir başarı, kendileri için iyi bir iş olarak yazılır. ALLAH iyi davrananların mükafatını yitirmez.
