Sizi karada ve denizde gezdiren O'dur. Dahası (tutun ki) sizler gemide bulunuyosunuz, tatlı bir rüzgarda onunla yol alıyorsunuz, üstelik tam da bunun sevinciyle mest olmuşsunuz; derken bir fırtına yakalıyor gemiyi ve dalgalar her yandan yolcuları kuşatıyor. Artık onlar dört bir yandan (ölümle) sarıldıklarına kanaat getirmiş vaziyetteler; tüm içtenlikle Allah'a yönelip yalnız O'nun nizamına sığınarak; "Eğer bizi bu beladan kurtarırsan yemin olsun ki şükredenlerden olacağız!" diye yalvarıp yakarıyorlar.

He is the One who moves you across the land and sea. You get onto the ships, and they sail smoothly in a nice breeze. Then, while rejoicing therein, violent wind blows, and the waves surround them from every side. This is when they implore GOD, sincerely devoting their prayers to Him alone: "If You only save us this time, we will be eternally appreciative."

O, karada ve denizde sizi gezdirirken, içinde bulunduğunuz gemiler güzel bir rüzgarla seyrettiğinde ve bununla sevindikleri bir sırada güçlü bir fırtına gelip çatar. Ve dalgalar her yandan onları kuşatır. Çepeçevre kuşatıldıklarını anlayınca, dini yalnızca Allah'a özgüleyerek, O'na yakarışlarda bulunurlar: "Bizi bundan kurtarırsan, kesinlikle şükredenler arasında olacağız!"
