Follow what is inspired to you from your Lord; there is no god but He, and turn away from those who have set up partners.

If God had willed, they would not have set up partners. We did not place you over them as a guardian, nor are you their lawyer.

Do not insult those whom they invoke other than God, lest they insult God without knowledge. We have similarly adorned for every nation their works; then to their Lord is their return and He will inform them of what they had done.

They swore by God using their strongest oaths; that if a sign came to them they would acknowledge it. Say, "The signs are from God; and how do you know that once it comes, that they would not reject?"

We divert their hearts and eyesight, as they did not acknowledge it the first time; and We leave them wandering in their transgression.
