Allah, malum beldelerin sakinlerinden alıp iade ettiği tüm savaş gelirlerinin sorumluluğunu Rasulü'ne vermiştir: Artık (bu gelirler) Allah'a, Rasulüne, (onun) yakınlarına, yetimlere, yoksullara ve yolculara aittir: bunu böyle yaptık ki, servet (sırf) zengin sınıflarınız arasında dolaşan bir güç ve iktidar aracına dönüşmesin. İmdi, Rasul size (ondan) ne (pay) verirse onu alın, ama size vermediği şeyde de ısrarcı olmayın: Allah'a karşı sorumlu davranın; unutmayın ki Allah cezası çetin olandır.

Whatever GOD restored to His messenger from the (defeated) communities shall go to GOD and His messenger (in the form of a charity). You shall give it to the relatives, the orphans, the poor, and the traveling alien. Thus, it will not remain monopolized by the strong among you. You may keep the spoils given to you by the messenger, but do not take what he enjoins you from taking. You shall reverence GOD. GOD is strict in enforcing retribution.

Whatever God bestowed upon His messenger from the people of the towns, then it shall be to God and His messenger, and the relatives, and the orphans, and the poor, and the wayfarer. Thus, it will not remain monopolized by the rich among you. And you may take what the messenger gives you, but do not take what he prohibits you from taking. And be aware of God, for God is mighty in retribution.

Whatever God provided to His messenger from the people of the townships, then it shall be to God and His messenger; for the relatives, the orphans, the poor, and the wayfarer. Thus, it will not remain monopolized by the rich among you. You may take what the messenger gives you, but do not take what he withholds you from taking. Be aware of God, for God is mighty in retribution.

Allah'ın, o yörelerin halkından Kendi elçisine aktardıkları, Allah, elçi, yakınlar, yetimler, yoksullar ve yolda kalmışlar içindir. Aranızdaki varlıklılar arasında dönüp dolaşan bir değer durumuna dönüşmesin diye böyledir. Artık, elçi size ne verdiyse onu alın; size vermediği şeyden sakının. Ve Allah'a yönelik sorumluluk bilinci taşıyın. Kuşkusuz, Allah'ın cezası çok yamandır.
